Egyptian wedding band

The tradition of wearing a wedding band on the ring finger on the left hand can be traced back to the Ancient Egyptian kingdom. It was believed that the vein of love coursed through the finger directly to the heart.

Moreover, the Ancient Egyptians were the first people to regard marriage as a legal relationship. It was believed to be a sacred bond. According to Egyptian laws, men and women also had a right to have a divorce.
