Mexican Axolotls can grow new legs

First off, try saying that name.

The Mexican Axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum) is one weird looking amphibian. Hardly, bigger than a teacup, it's found only in the lake complex of Xochimilco (try saying that one too) near Mexico City. Unlike most small salamanders, they live all their lives under water.

What's really interesting is that they have the ability to regenerate their lost body parts. Pretty cool, huh?
