Siberian Tigers can eat 27 kg in a day

A Siberian (also known as Amur) tiger can eat as much as 27 kilograms (60 pounds) in one day.

The carnivores usually weigh about 300 kilograms (660 lbs) and live mostly in eastern Russia, in the birch forests, though a few live in China and North Korea. These majestic animals usually avoid animals, only a small number of them have been man-eaters. This usually happens when they are ill, or live in areas where their usual prey has vanished. In the mid 1980s, these tigers were almost wiped out, and consisted of approximately only 250 animals. Today, there are an estimated 400 - 500 Siberian tigers in the wild.
