A woman crossed the Niagara Falls blindfolded

A woman crossed the Niagara Falls gorge walking on a tightrope.

The daredevil did this four times! Once on 12 July 1876, wearing peach baskets strapped to her feet. The second just seven days later on the 19th of July, where she crossed blindfolded! And the last, on 22 July of the same year with her ankles and wrists handcuffed!

The woman's name is Maria Spelterini and on 26 July 1876, she made a farewell crossing.
